Exploding Sprinkler Erupts Near Bullpen During Minor League Game

Minor league baseball games feature plenty of “Did that just happen?” moments.

Such was the case during Wednesday afternoon’s Fort Wayne Tin Caps vs Great Lakes Loons matchup, when a sprinkler exploded near the Tin Caps’ bullpen, out of nowhere.

In the top of the fifth inning, Fernando Perez went to track down a ball that was drifting foul down the first-base line. He would’ve had a play on it, except for the fact that a sprinkler erupted right in his face as he got thereshooting water everywhere.

Fans and players alike seemed to enjoy the geyser. Perez and his teammates had a good laugh about it.
